No More Safety Net

First 50k that wasn't a timed event.

Today was about facing a very specific fear as a runner. Removing the safety net of a timed ultra event where I pass my personal aid station every mile, and doing BT50k. As someone with Celiac disease, and a situation that can head south in an instant if I am cross-contaminated or my nutrition is off, this was a tough thing. It wasn’t fast (who cares), but nutrition and hydration stayed on point and I now know this type of event is not out of reach.  We were SUPER lucky to have good weather, but after all the rain there was an awful lot of mud on the out and back section.  Might have to give this one another go.
