Running hard in the cold

What a cold day it was for the Hot Cider Hustle.  Wind chills were down to 9 degrees.  I managed a 2 mile warmup before the race.  At the start I positioned myself up near the front.

A group of us took off hard around the track and headed towards the road.  I had to back it off slightly before blowing up completely.

I settled in and crossed the finish line in 19th place overall and won my age group.  Final time was 20:04
