May 14, 2018 - A bad potential forecast and a lucky break.
It was supposed to rain for this race. Initially it looked like thunderstorms at race time, but by race day that was pushed back to 10:30 am. I had my rain jacket stuffed in my hydration pack just in case, and was dressed in anticipation of getting soaked and maybe a little cold. It thundered the whole time, but not one drop of rain fell while I was out there which was great! I did get a bit overheated since I was dressed anticipating some trouble, but dialed back my pace to try to deal with that the best I could. I love running at North Chagrin, so rain or no, I wasn't going to let weather ruin my fun.
