As I recall, the weather was slightly inclimate and I was hesitant about competing as it was raining when I arrived at the venue. I could see that everyone else was making their way to transition and so I acquiesced into doing the same thing. My race went well. I had the good fortune of having Kendra Weekly within in eyesight on the run and she really pushed me hard. We had started in different waves and she is a faster runner, but i was able to keep within a distance of her so that in the end, I won this time. Kendra would go on to finish ahead of me a fews weeks later in Lausanne.
