In the spring of 2002, a group of endurance athletes joined together to form
Snakebite Racing. Snakebite Racing is a grass-roots endurance sports
team whose purpose is to promote the various sports of running, road racing,
mountain biking, and multi-sport within the community and the positive
benefits of those activities. As competitive cyclists and multi-sport
athletes the team will leverage their talents and interests to benefit the
cycling/multi-sport community in Northeast Ohio. The team consists of
runners, road racers, mountain bikers, triathletes, duathletes, and
adventure racers all like-minded and committed to showcasing SnakeBite
Racing as one of the area's premier team.
The team is sanctioned by the USCF and NORBA and is registered with USAT.

| SnakeBite Racing promotes
the Valley City Street Fair Road Race, held the last full weekend of August.
Proceeds from the event are used to fund the race team, along with a
donation to the Valley City Fire Department.
In 2005, our goals include impacting on a
weekly basis the A group at the Westlake Series as well as podium finishes
in the local road races particularly RATL, Team Akron, Chippewa Creek,
Allardale, Zoar, Blossom, CF Crit and State RR/Crit, among others.
