7/25/2010 | Angie and I had a great race. Despite some tough competition from Spin racing club, we managed to pull off a 1-2 finish. I am glad I wore my wetsuit as it helped keep me afloat and have a good swim. The swim was rough and I can see why some people turned back. It was definitely rougher once you got out toward the first bouey. In retrospect, the water looked deceptively less volatile from shore. The rest of the race went smoothly except for some minor details i.e. I forgot my race number on the run so I ran back to get it before crossing the finish line. I am glad SBR had such a nice showing today. Great Job everyone! | Martha Brennan |
