I am incredibly lucky to have been able to start this race. I literally got my car parked 5 mins before race time. Had to change into my kit and put air in the tires (which a good friend graciously helped with). Luckily the registration was 20 feet from the staging area, and they were able to give me my number and help me pin it just before the last person was called to the line. I wasn't able to race the race I wanted due to poor starting position and lack of any warm up. With two 180 degree turns and 4 other corners on the short course, it was hard to work up. Barely avoiding some downed riders at one of the corners a few laps in along with rubbing my front wheel in one of the 180* turns and having to clip out and put a foot down to stay upright was enough to get me off the back enough to where there was no recovery. All in all a good race and I would do it again!Gary Burkholder
